Robert Charles Lewis who is known by his friends as the Glitter Man was born on August 15, 1955 in Pennsylvania. He grew up in Pennsylvania. His first artist experience was at the State Hospital in 1992 where he did glitter art. However, he was only allowed 5-10 minutes to work so he never finished any of his pieces. His main medium is glitter and glue on paper. His favorite subject matter is abstract reasoning and math. The meaning behind his artwork is, “that it is an expression of my core values”. It also gives him an outlet to express his feelings. As he enjoys doing both simple and complex design because they reflect his experiences and gives him piece.” The importance of creating his artwork is that it is done quickly to the best of my ability. His future works of artwork are going to be abstract. Robert has been a member of CVF for 2 years 2 months, and was one of the original members of the building. He used to have two tables in the middle of the back room to himself before, being reduced to the one table that he has now.
